Diabetes Treatment

gastric-surgery-1200x300.jpg

Transit bipartition surgery applied to patients with Type 2 diabetes due to obesity has two stages. First, a sleeve gastrectomy is performed to reduce the volume of the stomach. Then, the small intestine is cut from where the small and large intestines meet, creating a new channel between the intestine and the stomach. Thanks to this new channel, insulin secretion will be stimulated and insulin levels will be balanced, thus improving diabetes.

The person will get rid of diabetes and start losing weight in a healthy way. The operation is performed under general anesthesia. The person does not feel any pain or ache. If there are no complications, the patient is discharged within 2-3 days.

The operation takes between 1 and 3 hours. The patient can return to his/her daily life within 15 days.
