Gastric Band

Also known as a gastric band, it is an obesity procedure that aims to narrow the stomach volume and help the person reach their ideal weight.
The procedure is performed laparoscopically under general anesthesia. The gastric band is adjusted according to the target of reducing the size of the stomach. If needed in the future, the gastric band setting can be changed.
The patient may experience mild pain and gas pain after the procedure. This is quite normal and will pass on its own within a few hours. The patient is advised to avoid heavy sports for the first month and to take a light 30-minute walk daily. With regular checkups and doctor's recommendations, the patient will soon have the healthy body they want.
The operation takes approximately 1-2 hours. The patient is discharged after being kept under observation for 1 day and can return to daily life within 1 week.
